Sunday Worship Services
8:45 AM - An informal time of worship where casual clothes and golf clothes are expected. Music is usually instrumental with occasional solos. This intimate gathering involves children in many aspects of the worship with Holy Communion served at every service. Regular healing services are offered during this 45 minute service
11:00 AM - More formal time of worship including the Chancel Choir, our pipe organ, CD ministry and Children's Sermon. Traditional sermons are customary with occasional dramas or music specials. Children serve as acolytes and Holy Communion is served quarterly and on Palm Sundy.

XPraise
This Contemporary Service of Worship started on August 26, 2007 as a service of Praise and Worship. Worship begins at 9:00 AM every Sunday in the Fellowship Hall, entrance off of Ashe Ave. It attracts youth and adults who are not usually a part of traditional Sunday Services. Sermons are light and instructional, always based on Holy Scripture and orthodox theology. Holy Communion is served each week. Opportunities for local and foreign mission are encouraged. Child care is available for children ages 0 to 7.
First United Methodist Acolytes
Donna Mull is the Chair of the Acolyte Committee. Acolytes are children 7 years of age and older, who have received training, by the Pastor, in the significance and importance of the "Bearer of the Light" in the overall worship experience. Acolytes perform their duties at the 11 AM Sunday Worship Service by processing the light to the altar candles and by recessing the light at the close of worship. The church provides a black robe and the appropriate seasonal collar for the child to wear.
