The Youth Ministry at First United Methodist Church strives to connect 6th - 12th graders to Christ and to each other through a variety of dynamic, high-energy programs and activities. We offer Youth a place to grow in their relationship with Christ, serve others, have fun, and chill out with their friends. Youth will meet twice in March on the 12th and 26th from 4:00 to 6:00pm.

Youth Mission Trip 2017

Washington, D.C June 18th -24th

In Washington, D.C., there are huge areas of unmet needs and tremendous opportunities for urban outreach and ministry. Within these areas are local missions, urban ministries and inner city churches that work to bring the love of Christ to their neighbors. This summer your youth can help these missions in their daily ministry through our mission trip. Groups will serve throughout the area through a variety of hands-on projects with homeless ministries, children programs, and working with elderly and disabled individuals. Your youth will have an opportunity to serve in several of these outreach programs during the week leading to a full experience in the context of inner city ministry. The youth will also spend each evening in Chapel and Worship with the other youth attending. This trip is once again sponsored by TEAMeffort Ministry.

Lodging: Groups stay at a local church and family life center with on-site shower facilities, dining area, and chapel. All meals are provided except for four lunches and two dinners during the trip to and from and on the day and 1/2 of free time.

The cost is $ 275.00 per camper a non-refundable deposit of $75.00 is due by Sunday, April 30th, the remaining balance will be due June 18th. There will be 7 meals of lunch and / or dinner through-out the week that the campers will need to cover also. The "Free-Time" portion of the trip is still being planned but you will need your walking shoes!
