The Youth Ministry at First United Methodist Church strives to connect 6th - 12th graders to Christ and to each other through a variety of dynamic, high-energy programs and activities. We offer Youth a place to grow in their relationship with Christ, serve others, have fun, and chill out with their friends.
youth middle high (6th-9th Grade) uses a video based curriculum with discussion on the impact of faith and the church upon contemporary issues. Taught by Lisa Johnson. senior high (10th grade-young adult) uses a variety of curriculum to connect the Biblical story to secular topics. Taught by Amy Cable. sunday night youth meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays from 4:00-6:00pm.

In addition to the annual Summer Mission Trip, many other projects are undertaken by various youth groupings.
Such projects include the following:
•Hosting Community Christmas Party for 10-12 local families in need
•Visiting nursing homes
•30 Hour Famine
